Our Egyptian goose pair, as anticipated, became parents to 7 goslings on St. Valentine’s Day.  Unfortunately, only two are remaining on 16 February.  Herons are prime suspects.

 Now that the trees are bare Greater Spotted Woodpeckers can be seen as well as heard.  Last year they  had a brood on the Hockey Pitch/Walled Garden in a silver birch tree.
